Abisoye, also known as ‘Cash ‘N’ Out,’ a prominent figure in the music industry, has asserted that the contract signed by the late Nigerian rapper Mohbad, with his former record label, Marlian Music, was, in his view, “fair.”

Upon leaving the record label, Mohbad had conveyed his grievances in a letter dated October 25, 2022, signed by his attorney, O.M Falade.

In the letter, he cited the non-fulfillment of the terms of the contract that was originally signed in 2019 when he initially joined the label.

He also accused the label of failing to remunerate him for his royalties from monetized intellectual content and advances, which were supposedly mutually agreed upon.

Abisoye, in a recent interview with Arise TV, claimed that he had the privilege of reviewing the contract that the late rapper had entered into and asserted that it was, in his opinion, a “fair” agreement.

He explained that it was structured as a joint venture between the record label and the late artist. Nonetheless, he acknowledged that things didn’t unfold as Mohbad had anticipated.

He explained, “By right, I might not be able to speak about Mohbad’s contract with Marlian Music like that here. But because I’ve seen it before, I would say it was a fair one.

In his defense, me and him [Mohbad] always talk about that contract. That contract was a joint venture.

It means he comes to the table as who ever he is and the label comes to the table and they put two together and they make something which is a beautiful arrangement but some how it didn’t just go the way he thought it would go. And like I said, I won’t be able to speak more on that.”
