Currently on tour for his latest album, Davido delivered a spectacular performance at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, causing the entire city to come alive.

The immense success of the sold-out show led to the declaration of July 7th as ‘Davido’s Day’ in Houston, as announced by the Mayor of the city. This recognition was bestowed upon Davido in appreciation of his remarkable contributions to the music industry.
It is worth noting that Davido’s fellow artist and rival, Wizkid, also has a day dedicated to him in the US. Back in 2018, the US governor declared October 6th as Wizkid Day.
The year 2023 has undoubtedly become a year of great acknowledgment for Davido, with his recent national honor award from the Nigerian government. In recognition of his achievements, Davido was conferred with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) title.
