Banky W’s foray into politics was driven by his desire to demonstrate that individuals with good intentions could serve the public and engage in governance.
He aimed to show that people of integrity could play a role in the government while maintaining their commitment to the pastoral ministry.
In response to the tragic passing of Afrobeat sensation Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Banky W emphasized the importance of thorough investigations to uncover the true circumstances surrounding the singer’s death. He called on authorities to conduct proper inquiries to ascertain the cause of the tragedy.

Regarding the recent judgment from the National Assembly petitions tribunal that called for a supplementary election for the House of Representatives seat in Eti Osa local government area, Banky W expressed optimism about his chances of winning the position.
He believes that despite the tribunal’s decision, he still has a viable opportunity to secure the seat.
