It’s a deeply sorrowful time for acclaimed musician Ayodeji Balogun, widely recognized as Wizkid, as he has lost his mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun.
The singer’s mother passed away at approximately 1:30 am on Friday, August 18th. Sunday Aare, Wizkid’s long-serving manager, confirmed the tragic news to The Punch.

“Yes, she died this morning, at about 1:30 am,” he stated.
Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun is survived by three children: Ayodeji Balogun (Wizkid), Yetunde Balogun, and Lade Balogun.
The loss of a loved one is undoubtedly a challenging moment for Wizkid and his family, and our thoughts go out to them during this time of grief.
