Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has disclosed that she had a conversation with popular Lagos socialite Farida Sobowale, also known as King Phreedah, before the latter’s attempted suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge.
Reports had surfaced about King Phreedah’s marital troubles, with allegations that her husband had moved out of their home to be with another woman he was involved with before their marriage.
On the day of the incident, King Phreedah reportedly drove her Lexus SUV to the Third Mainland Bridge, where she contemplated jumping into the Lagoon before being rescued by people on the scene.
Iyabo Ojo took to Instagram to reveal that she had been speaking with King Phreedah before the attempted suicide, and she learned about the incident after they ended the call.
She expressed regret that she hadn’t recognized the seriousness of the situation during their conversation and said she would have stayed on the call if she had known.

In her post, Iyabo Ojo wrote, “@houseofphreedahbodycare hmmmmm my darling, if I knew you had this on your mind, I wouldn’t have gotten off the phone with you. Of course, you knew what you wanted to do, but you diverted my attention elsewhere.
Story for when we see (cos you’re going nowhere). Thank God for the people who were there right on time to save the situation.
God bless them, my love, this will definitely pass, the sun will shine again, your tomorrow will be better than your today, but for now just breathe. I love you so much, please stay strong…. I’m praying for you.”
