Seun Kuti, a well-known Nigerian artist, has harshly chastised Nigerians who have been blaming the father of late Nigerian singer Mohbad for the hasty burial of his son.
The immediate burial had sparked controversy on social media, with many questioning the lack of a proper investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

In an interview with media personality Nedu on ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, Seun Kuti argued that poverty played a significant role in the situation, leading to the condemnation of Mohbad’s father.
He questioned why any rational father would want to keep his deceased son’s body for an extended period.

Seun Kuti further emphasized that if someone like Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola had made the same decision to bury his child quickly, it wouldn’t have generated such backlash from Nigerians. Instead, people would have visited to offer condolences.
