Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has taken to her Instagram page to make an appeal to the Federal Government, requesting the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
As the sister-in-law of Pete Edochie, Rita Edochie firmly believes that if the government releases Nnamdi Kanu, the unrest in the South East region will be resolved and become history.

She expressed her frustration towards the government, urging them to stop toying with people’s lives, especially while their own children reside overseas.
“Release Mazi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu today, and witness the cessation of unrest in the South East. Stop playing with people’s lives, particularly you elites. Your children are overseas, yet you exploit other people’s children to incite unrest. If you are among them, your future generations will never experience peace.”

Similarly, Yul Edochie, a renowned actor and movie producer, has made a humble request to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to release Nnamdi Kanu.
On his Instagram page, Yul Edochie praised President Tinubu as a distinguished leader who has fought for democracy for three decades.

He acknowledged him as a builder and supporter of men and women, and made a heartfelt plea for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
“To our esteemed leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, @officialBAT GCFR, the Jagaban. A man who has dedicated three decades to the fight for democracy. A builder and supporter of men and women. My President, I respectfully implore you to release Nnamdi Kanu. This is a humble request from your son, Yul Edochie.”
