Omah Lay, a stage name for Nigerian musician Stanley Omah Didia, has spoken out about how his sudden notoriety affected his mental health.
In a recent interview on the Afrobeats Podcast with media personality Adesope Olajide, Omah Lay shared his struggles with fame and how he eventually learned to cope with it.

Omah Lay acknowledged that he initially found it challenging to deal with his newfound fame, which took a toll on his mental state. However, he gradually adapted to the spotlight and discovered the importance of moving at his own pace.
He explained, “At first, I struggled, and it put me in a bad mental state because I was still trying to learn my ways.
However, with time, I got comfortable and learned that I should move at my own pace. As soon as I realized that, I became much stronger and began to enjoy my life more.”
