Former Marlian dancer Lil Smart has caused a significant uproar on social media due to his comments about the death of singer Mohbad.
On his Instagram stories, Lil Smart made a statement challenging the official explanation that Mohbad had died from an ear infection.

Expanding on his viewpoint, Lil Smart also labeled the Nigerian music industry as malevolent.
He recalled how Mohbad had previously urged Nigerians to hold Naira Marley and Marlian Records accountable if anything untoward were to happen to him before his demise. Furthermore, Mohbad’s songs had conveyed his inner struggle to find peace amidst the influences around him.
Drawing from these elements, Lil Smart wrote:
“He had forewarned us about this before it happened. What a heartless industry. It’s not an ear infection; it’s a lieeeeeee.”
