David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed his intention to retire from the music industry before his career starts to decline.

In a video shared online by his friend and entertainment blogger Tunde Ednut, Davido revealed that his greatest fear is the moment when his music career begins to lose its momentum.

Davido admitted that every artist goes through a phase in their career where the excitement and frenzy surrounding their music start to diminish.

He emphasized that he doesn’t want to reach that point in his career and often jokes with his friends that he will retire from music before he experiences a decline.

He said, “The only thing I’m really scared of is that moment maybe…when I get on stage, people cry, they go crazy.

But it’s going to get to a point in my career where it’s going to start slowing down, everybody goes through it, so that’s what I’m really scared of, that point.

I never want to get there. I always make a joke to my friends, I’m gonna retire before I turn sour.”
