Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, achieved a new world record for the longest cooking marathon recognized by Guinness World Records.
The organization wrote via its official Twitter account: “After reviewing all the footage, we’re delighted to announce that Hilda Baci is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).”

According to GWR, Baci now holds the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
Hilda intended to achieve a record of 100 hours, but her final total was reduced by nearly seven hours since she unintentionally overstayed one of her rest breaks early in the endeavor.
The 26-year-old chef, who was born in Akwa, Ibom, started cooking on May 11 and proceeded until May 15, 2023, when she cooked more than 100 pots of meals.
GWR announced on its website on Tuesday that it has verified her accomplishment:
“Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
