According to a report from TSZ Naija, popular music star Simi obtained a Mass Communication degree from Covenant University, and despite not using the certificate or working for any media firm, she believes her degree was not wasted.
Simi, impressed with how she communicates through her music and social media, proudly shared on her Twitter handle, “At least my Mass Comm degree did not waste.”

In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Simi also narrated how she met her husband and colleague, Adekunle Gold. They dated for five years before tying the knot in 2019. Adekunle Gold had been sending messages to her on Facebook, but she didn’t notice them until they started dating.
Their paths crossed at one of Simi’s gospel concerts, where Adekunle Gold attended wearing a white BYC and jeans. His persistence eventually led to them becoming friends and later dating.
