Funke Shows Emotion On The “Battle On Buka Street” Film Set

Funke Akindele, the actress who holds the record for the highest-grossing film, Battle on Buka Street, expressed her emotions upon returning to the film set.

She shared videos of herself and her crew at the familiar location where Battle on Buka Street was filmed. Akindele, a mother of twin boys, mentioned that she revisited the Buka Street location because she needed a village scene for her current movie project.

The videos also captured the warm reception Akindele received from the women in the village.

It remains unclear whether Akindele is shooting the sequel to Omo Ghetto The Saga or Battle on Buka Street. However, some characters from the former have been seen regularly on Akindele’s social media posts.

Akindele recently teased her fans about Omo Ghetto The Saga 2, following the success of the first installment. On Twitter, she responded to a fan’s question by declaring that Omo Ghetto The Saga 2 is in the works.

Notably, Akindele’s Omo Ghetto The Saga surpassed Kemi Adetiba’s box office record, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time after four years. However, Battle on Buka Street has now claimed the top spot, overtaking Akindele’s previous film.
