Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, a well-known Nigerian musician, has shared insights into his professional choices, notably explaining why he chose music over dance, citing financial goals as the key motivator.
During a recent interview, Asake explained that he opted to pursue a music career because he was skeptical that dancing alone would provide him with the financial success he needed.

He candidly expressed his motivation, stating, “The reason I left dance is for my love for money. I want to be very honest. Dance is something that I love.
But I’m not sure dance can give me the kind of money I want. Even if you want to make it so gangster-like and there are so many people bumping, you still need to use the dancers. So, as they work together, I think for the love of money, I’d rather be singing.”
When posed with the hypothetical scenario of achieving significant success in dancing, he unequivocally responded, “No, I would join music and dance together so I will have more money.”
This response underscores his unwavering pursuit of financial prosperity as a driving force behind his career decisions.
