He stated that he prefers to work with individuals who are on the same level as him, as he doesn’t want anyone taking credit for his popularity.
Speed Darlington emphasized that he doesn’t want to take the risk of collaborating with Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, or any other well-known names in the industry.
He aims to work with musicians who he believes are at a similar level to him, ensuring that credit for his success remains solely his own. He dismissed the idea of relying on popular artists like Burna Boy to elevate his music, emphasizing that he had already gained attention and was trending before any potential collaborations.

Furthermore, Speed Darlington has recently voiced his belief that he deserves payment for being a celebrity. This comes after facing criticism from fans who called him out for requesting payment of N5,000 before hugging or taking pictures with them.
During an interview on The Honest Bunch podcast, co-hosted by media personality Nedu, Speed Darlington stood firm in his stance that he should be compensated for his celebrity status.
