Lawrence Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, a Nigerian comedian, has made a public pledge to pay one million Naira to anyone who can offer concrete evidence of him disparaging Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi during the 2023 general elections.
This decision follows an accusation from a fan who criticized Seyi Law, a staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu, for supposedly being disrespectful towards the Igbo community despite being married to an Igbo woman.
In response, Seyi Law clarified that he never insulted Peter Obi or the Igbo people. He challenged anyone making the accusation to present proof of his alleged insults, and he pledged to give one million Naira to anyone who could provide substantial evidence.
Seyi Law further explained that he openly endorsed his preferred candidates, ASIWAJU and Sanwoolu, without forcing anyone to vote for them.
He emphasized that he never advocated violence, attacked anyone, or discouraged others from voting for their choices.
Seyi Law’s stance underscores his willingness to confront and address accusations directly while inviting transparency through the offer of a reward for valid evidence. It also reflects his commitment to open dialogue and accountability.
