Mr Macaroni’s remarks were prompted by a video circulating online in which the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, announced that a token had been sent to the accounts of his colleagues to enable them to enjoy their holidays.
This announcement, which came in the midst of widespread economic difficulties, drew significant backlash from Nigerians.
In his social media post, Mr Macaroni questioned why the citizens must bear the burden of funding their leaders’ extravagant lifestyles.
