Kris Jenner is heartbroken over the unexpected death of Tristan Thompson’s mom, Andrea Thompson who passed away recently.
“I am so heartbroken by the sudden passing of Tristan’s mom, Andrea,” Kris wrote in an emotional tribute on Instagram on Friday, before sending her condolences to the NBA star and his siblings Amari, Dishawn and Daniel Thompson.
“You were the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom and such a loving, kind, and fabulous grandmother. What a blessing you were to your family!!!” the reality TV star continued.
“I will miss you Andrea. I will miss your bright spirit and amazing light. Thank you for always praying for us and lifting us up and encouraging us along the way. Rest in peace beautiful angel
Jenner’s heartfelt message comes after a source told Page Six that Andrea went into cardiac arrest on Thursday and was unable to be revived. Her death, according to an insider, was “unexpected.”
Andrea suffered a heart attack at her home, according to TMZ, who broke the news first. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, but doctors were unable to resuscitate her.
Tristan, 31, and ex Khloé Kardashian, 38, flew from Los Angeles to Toronto privately so that the NBA champion could spend time with his family.
According to a source, the Good American founder will remain by Tristan’s side during this difficult time as they co-parent their 4-year-old daughter, True, and their son, whom they welcomed via surrogate last summer.
Tristan has expressed his love and gratitude to his mother on social media over the years. In honor of Mother’s Day in 2020, the former Chicago Bulls star sent a special message to Andrea.
“Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! One day isn’t enough to praise and lift you high. Everyday is your day. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me and my brothers. I love you and I’m soo lucky to have been chosen as your son. Not all superheroes wear capes,” he wrote at the time.
