Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond, the stand-up comedian widely known as Destalker, has voiced accusations against his senior colleagues, Basketmouth and Gordons, suggesting that they have hindered his progress within the comedy industry.
These allegations were made during his appearance on the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu.
Destalker asserted that his name has been deliberately omitted from opportunities in the past, with potential sponsors citing the involvement of his senior colleagues as a reason for their reluctance to support his career.
He expressed bewilderment at the fact that, despite being recognized as the Best Comedian for five consecutive years, he struggled to secure sponsors for his shows.
He elaborated on his frustration by mentioning that he had diligently prepared sponsorship proposals, and while some companies showed initial interest, they would subsequently request to consult with his senior colleagues before finalizing any agreements.
This perceived interference by his senior colleagues left him disheartened and perplexed.
Destalker recounted an incident in which someone questioned his relationship with Basketmouth and suggested that he should seek reconciliation with him.
Addressing rumors of using supernatural means to achieve success, Destalker responded by acknowledging that the pursuit of success is universal, and everyone aspires to achieve it.
He likened the quest for success to a dream, emphasizing that some individuals may have a different dream—to prevent others from succeeding. This response implied that the rumors of him using voodoo or supernatural means were baseless and unfounded.
