A video circulating on social media shows the mother of the late rapper, Dagrin, seeking financial assistance from Nigerians.
In the footage, the elderly woman can be seen selling food by the roadside. She expressed the difficulties of running the business at her age and revealed that the income generated is insufficient to support her family.

To avoid being recognized, she mentioned that she moves away from certain areas while trying to provide for herself.
Dagrin’s mother shared that some people have suggested reaching out to Afrobeats superstars like Davido or Olamide for help. However, she considers them as her own children and feels unable to approach them for assistance.
Lamenting their impoverished situation, she emphasized the need for suitable accommodation and pleaded with Nigerians to raise funds to help her start a business.
“I am in a state of poverty and I appeal to Nigerians to come and assist me. Currently, I sell food by the roadside, but the stress is overwhelming as I am getting old. I need accommodation. Please, Nigerians, I am in need of about N3 million to N5 million.

I cannot go and beg rapper Olamide for money because it feels strange as if he is not an elder; I view him as my own son.”
