The third competitor to be sent off BBNaija All Stars, Kiddwaya, has spoken up about a near-death experience brought on by a misdiagnosis and bad medication.
Kiddwaya recently discussed this terrifying occurrence with prominent media figure Hero Daniels.

He recounted experiencing panic attacks in 2020 following his participation in the “Lockdown” season of Big Brother Naija. During this period, he was mistakenly prescribed medication for high blood pressure for a span of three months.
“In 2020, as I was transitioning into fame, about eight weeks after the [BBNaija Lockdown] show, everything seemed to be going well. But one day, while I was talking to my cousin on my bed, I suddenly got up to use the restroom and found my legs trembling.
This was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. At first, I suspected it might be COVID-related. My legs were shaking uncontrollably, and I felt my tongue getting dry to the point where water wouldn’t seem to quench my thirst.
My vision even became blurred. Naturally, panic set in, and I immediately contacted my doctor,” Kiddwaya shared.
He continued, “The doctor came and checked my blood pressure, which turned out to be around 180—an alarmingly high reading. At that moment, I attributed it to a potential case of COVID-19, as it was the most prominent concern in 2020.
The doctors couldn’t exactly pinpoint the cause but were certain that my blood pressure was dangerously high. Consequently, they prescribed high blood pressure medication for me, which I took for several months.

However, this was not the appropriate course of action. In reality, I was experiencing an anxiety attack, which elevated my blood pressure before bringing it back to normal levels.”

Kiddwaya expressed his concern about the misguided treatment he received, stating, “The medication they put me on for high blood pressure actually disrupted my blood flow because it wasn’t the right solution. I continued taking it for three months, putting me at risk for serious health consequences.”
This incident shed light on the importance of accurate diagnosis and proper medical treatment, as Kiddwaya revealed how close he came to facing severe implications due to the misunderstanding of his condition.
