In an interview with Naija FM in Lagos, Kiddwaya revealed that he saw Mercy as a “female version” of himself, which was one reason for their playful interactions.
He characterized their interactions as a form of flirting and playfulness, and he emphasized that the kiss they shared wasn’t a serious or deep one; it was simply part of the lighthearted atmosphere in the house.
Kiddwaya went on to mention that on the day of the incident, there was a fair amount of alcohol consumption among the housemates, which contributed to the carefree atmosphere.
He described the environment inside the house as one where everything is taken in stride and with a sense of “cruise,” implying that the interactions were meant to be light-hearted and not necessarily indicative of deeper feelings.

This clarification from Kiddwaya comes after his girlfriend Laura reportedly unfollowed him on Instagram due to his interactions with Mercy.
Kiddwaya remained confident that Laura would eventually follow him back, asserting that his actions with Mercy were all part of the game and that there was no real romantic involvement.
