Yomi Fabiyi Clarifies Sex Allegation

Yomi Fabiyi faced “sex-for-roles” allegations, prompting Mo Bimpe to end their relationship due to his dating ultimatum.

In a recent interview, Yomi Fabiyi expressed his frustration over the unfair judgments he received regarding his association with Mo Bimpe, whom he claimed to have mentored.

According to Fabiyi, their first interaction occurred in 2016 when Bimpe, a youth corps member, expressed interest in acting, and he offered her a role in one of his films.

He described how he trained her for the part, ensuring that her lack of experience didn’t discourage other notable Nollywood artists involved in the movie.

Throughout his statement, Yomi Fabiyi reiterated that there was no sexual relationship between him and Mo Bimpe. His involvement was solely focused on mentoring her in the Nollywood profession.

The actor explained that after the project concluded, Mo Bimpe left with a different actor, not him, who had introduced her to the industry, and he didn’t see her again until 2019 when she approached him for her own movie. However, he discovered that she had assembled his entire crew behind his back, which he considered a betrayal.

Fabiyi firmly denied ever demanding sexual favors in exchange for movie roles and accused Mo Bimpe of using him to gain fame while attempting to tarnish his reputation. He refuted the claims made against him.

TSZ Naija also recalls that Yomi Fabiyi accused Mo Bimpe of having relationships with many men in the movie industry before marrying fellow actor Lateef Adedimeji.
