Rita strongly opposed someone’s suggestion that May should sever ties with Yul. The actress explained her objection by stating that May cannot abandon her marital home. She asserted that May would accept her husband despite the turmoil involving his second wife, Judy Austin, as their marriage is divinely ordained.
In her own words: “God’s plan is different from ours. Someone made a false claim that my wonderful daughter, Queen May Edochie, should not be associated with Yul Edochie, but that’s a lie. Who said such a thing? As I told her, that home is her rightful place.
Patience pays off in the end. She will never abandon her home. Once the drama subsides and Yul Edochie returns, May will welcome him because their marriage is blessed by God.”
